Curtis Kitchen, formerly an editor at Broadcast Engineering Magazine with e-newsletter and social media responsibilities, is currently the Director of Publications and Trade Shows, and Editor of Auctioneer Magazine, a 64-page National Auctioneers Association publication printed 10-times annually, and is now one of the newest staff members of Broadcast Beat.
For BE, he spearhead the magazine’s social media presence through Facebook and Twitter. For Auctioneer, he creates content and performs a myriad of other publication-related duties, from finance to graphics to mailing. In addition to editing, he also pens at least one story per issue â€” usually geared to sharing information and experiences from his media career.
Curtis also provides direction and support for Auctioneer’s Graphic Designer and Marketing and Sales Coordinator. He utilizes his media background to tailor an individual (unique) message to fit different outlets’ needs – from print publications to social media.
In his spare time, Curtis freelances for Bring on the Cats (www.bringonthecats.com), which features a wealth of in-depth analysis and opinions regarding Kansas State University sports and is a part of the SB Nation network of sports blogs.
