We are a Los Angeles based premiere event production and design company specializing in high-profile entertainment related events such as award show after-parties, private celebrity parties, exclusive premiere after-parties, product launches, high-profile charity events and celebrity weddings. We are also noted for designing and creating the interiors for some of the nation’s best-known restaurant and nightclub venues. We are currently seeking a resourceful and flexible intern interested in design, event production and administration. This is an excellent opportunity for those interested in gaining knowledge and exposure to the dynamics of producing special events from the beginning stages of event concept, business and design, to the on-site decor and production installation, to the tear-down/strike of an event.
Duties include: – Researching and sourcing decor items/rental items/vendors/venues and the like- Maintaining/updating contact lists, media lists and vendor insurance certificates – Running office/event errands – Overseeing the creation & maintenance of event binders and décor item labels- Supporting office production needs, including design work and prepping decor – Assist Producers and Event Coordinators on-site with events, as needed – Assist with answering phones, filing, faxing, photocopying of event-related paperwork and other office dutiesRequirements: Must have a strong desire to flourish in Event Production and Design as a career. Must be computer savvy with excellent communication skills. We ask that you are able to dedicate 1 – 2 days per week in our offices for the internship. Office hours are weekdays, 9:30am-5:30pm, but can also include evenings or weekends for events. We prefer someone available to begin immediately. The length of the internship is generally 6 months. We will give academic credit, if applicable.-
Ideal candidate is a team-player, smart, detail oriented, conscientious and friendly with a professional appearance and attitude. – Eager to learn, positive attitude, motivated and organized, outgoing, self-starter – Ability to multi-task and prioritize responsibilities – Keen attention to detail a must!- Knowledge of the Los Angeles with a reliable car- Proficient with office machines such as photocopier, fax machine, scanner, printer and PC- Proficient in English with excellent spelling and grammar skills and clear, professional phone voice – Proficient with computer skills – Microsoft Office Suite including Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint, and internet. We prefer candidates who have experience with design programs such as Adobe Photoshop, and own a laptop, PC or Mac.
We offer lunch and mileage reimbursement. Must have reliable transportation.
