INSIGHT TV, one of the world’s largest UHD broadcasters and producer of native UHD HDR content covering action sports, entertainment, and lifestyle, is commissioning Season 2 of its thrilling reality show THRU, due to air in December 2018, on INSIGHT TV and INSIGHT.TV. The series, which was originally unveiled at last year’s MIPCOM event in Cannes, sees teams of intrepid competitors’ trek through highly challenging terrain following a straight line from point-A-to-point-B. Rights of THRU are available in local formats.
After the victory of team Blue in Greece in Season 1, with Ionut Oancea and
Daniel Jurisich taking home more than twenty thousand euros in prize money, Season 2 welcomes contestants from all corners of the world including the US, India, Germany, The Netherlands, the UK and South Korea. Contestants include well-known fitness gurus and social influencers including Hugh Sunhong from Seoul, Ben Mudge from Belfast and Lienke de Jong from Amsterdam.
As the teams race from opposite directions they face difficult obstacles and physical challenges by trekking directly over, under, and through buildings, drop-offs, swamps and pools. The team that takes all obstacles and deviates least from the THRU route, wins.
