Role

  • The person in this role will serve as technology specialist within IT BRM to deliver process and technology solutions for the Physical Security Technology Operations group

Reporting

  • This role reports into Director of IT Business Relationship Management

Education:

  • Must have 4+ years of bachelor’s degree in the field of Computer Sciences or Information Security or Information Technology

Qualifications:

  • Must have at least 4 years of experience implementing and supporting IT server and network solutions
  • Experience with implementing physical security systems such as access control, video surveillance, intrusion detection, IP intercom and similar physical security products (e.g. Lenel OnGuard, Cisco PSIM, Genetec Video Management System, Bosch Intrusion Systems, 2N IP Intercom) will be given preference
  • Must possess knowledge of performing installations and configurations of multiple networking devices (like Routers, Switches, Firewalls, Service Modules, security appliances, IP addressing, etc.)
  • Candidates with certifications like CCNA, CCNP or equivalent credentials will be given preference
  • Must possess knowledge of IT solutions design, deployment and operations vertically across the stack from hardware, firmware to operating system to applications to user experience
  • Must possess knowledge of application development & deployment concepts, database concepts, SQL Server usage for DML & DDL, networking concepts, network protocols and deployment architecture

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct requirements elicitation workshops with the stakeholders and capture their Physical Security needs
  • Map the Physical Security technology needs into IT requirements – physical, network, storage, hypervisor, server, O/S, middleware, runtime, application, data. Co-develop IT capabilities aligned to the Physical Security Technologies roadmap
  • Work with SEHS project managers and help convert the needs and mappings to project approach, plan and activities. Participates in short- and long-term planning efforts with stakeholders and IT groups. Supports the development of cost/time estimates.
  • Work with third party security integrators and system manufacturers, for standards compliance oversight, deployment coordination and testing, validation and commissioning.
  • Take ownership of the IT tasks involved in the day-to-day execution of projects managed by Security Technologies group
  • Work with business analysts to develop appropriate data flow diagrams and process flows for the end-to-end solution
  • Work with networking and firewall team members globally to design, document, communicate and implement networking aspects of the solution. Work with server, virtualization teams globally to design, document, communicate and implement server aspects of the solution
  • Work with IT Risk & Compliance and Information Security and ensure that the implementation design meets all IT and security controls
  • Integrates physical security solutions with other applications and platforms based on engineering requirements.
  • Co-develop capacity plan, measure network utilization against the assigned capacity and recommend optimization requirements
  • Leads or provides technical direction for the planning, designing, and execution of testing efforts. Validates test results. Ensures that tests evaluate all possible impacts on the current infrastructure or application.
  • Develops enhanced production monitoring and additional capability.
  • Facilitate problems troubleshooting and issues resolution exercises. Represent IT services in such exercises and recommend on how such events can be avoided in the future. Continuously look for opportunities to improve the delivery of IT services to the security teams
  • Recommends and develops solutions for improvement of help desk procedures, address improvement opportunities.
