Position: Signal Processing Engineer- Jr level
Location: San Diego CA US
The Advanced Solutions Group (ASG) of Leidos has an opportunity for a Digital Signal Processing Engineer located in our San Diego, CA office.
The successful candidate will participate in unclassified digital signal processing (DSP) development targeting future government / military operations. The successful candidate will work collaboratively with technical leads in developing, maintaining, debugging, documenting and delivering scientific algorithms that have been or will be translated (implemented) into an industry standard delivery language, such as C, C++, Java, or Python. The successful candidate should be familiar with undergraduate and graduate concepts relating to system development such as: analog and digital signals and systems, detection theory, statistical analysis of signals, sampling theory, frequency-domain analysis, linear-time-invariant systems and their properties, matrix/linear algebra and representation
Candidate must have a Master’s of Science or Ph. D. degree in Math, Physics, Electrical Engineering or related degree.
Experience with Matlab
Comfortable solving complex problems
Need to be flexible in responding to a dynamic work environment
Self-motivating, excellent written and verbal communication skills and good interpersonal skills
Must have a US Citizenship and be eligible for a DoD security clearance.
Knowledge and/or experience with radar, infrared, or electro-optical sensors. Including but not limited to experience working with hardware, modeling and simulation.
Experience in software languages: C, C++, Java, Python
