About the job

Needs to be within 15 miles from
Annapolis, MD 21409

Independent Documentary Producer based in Annapolis is looking an intern for 2 to 3 days a week to assist on two independent films.

The first is a documentary sequel to an award winning PBS documentary “The Last Boat Out”. Link to excerpts from the first film: www.facebook.com/laura.seltzer.duny/posts/10211175347673476

The second is a film still in development. It will be about the emotional toll that war has had on both Holocaust refugees during WWII and Syrian refugees today.

Depending on skills and interests, intern will assist in:
– Premiere Editing (such as transcribing interviews, organizing footage, stringing out footage)
– Social media posts about the films
– Occasionally assisting on location shoots for both documentaries

This is an excellent opportunity for someone interested in learning about independent filmmaking and owning a small business. Producer will teach intern as he/she shadows her in a variety of tasks in the office and in the field. This is a volunteer position but can turn into paid position for the right candidate. Intern may also have the opportunity to assist on videos for our nonprofit clients.
