Tempo utilizes new time compression algorithms that deliver superior quality and faster turn-around times. Running on the Vantage media-processing platform, Tempo is easy to use and offers all of the benefits of the industry’s leading workflow management and transcoding system.

Skype is EVERYWHERE – and even at NAB!  Here is Ryan as he stops by to interview Matt Jordan of Skype. Founded in Ryan and Matt Jordan of Skype2003 and headquartered in Luxembourg, Skype is a division of Microsoft Corp. (NASDAQ: MSFT).

Skype, as you probably already know, is a service used for voice transmission over the Internet (VOIP). Skype was based on a peer-to-peer network program, which was applied to voice communications rather than filesharing. As a result, it became very popular in rural and out-of-the-way areas, with many people using it – oh, and it was free. It became so popular, in fact, that Microsoft paid $8.5 billion for it.

Ever hear the phrase: “Skype me?” Or how about “Getting skyped.” You can thank Skype.
