INSIGHT TV, one of the world’s largest UHD broadcasters and producers of native UHD HDR content covering action sports, entertainment and lifestyle, has announced the transmission date of Close Proximity, an exciting new 10-part series that dives into the world of fast cars and trucks through the eyes of professional Formula Drift driver, Matt Field. The show will air on INSIGHT TV on 27th March 2018 at 21:50 CET.
The show focuses on one of Matt’s greatest personal challenges: the 2016 Formula Drift Championship Series. Firing up in Long Beach, California, the series travels across the US, circling back to wrap up in Irwindale, California. Following Matt as he balances life as a business owner and professional drift racer, Close Proximity features some of the most successful Formula Drift stars and action-packed races in glorious UHD.
In pursuit of his high-stake dream, Matt must face his competitors whilst dealing with unexpected mechanical hurdles and the occasional spin out – his team working tirelessly to keep Matt on the track and in the battle for the Championship.
Back on the road, the Formula Drift season features legendary speedway tracks including Wall Speedway in New Jersey, Road Atlanta in Atlanta, Texas Motor Speedway in Texas, and a brief pit stop in Japan for the Formula Drift World Tour. Exploring themes of perseverance, hard-work and human relationships, Close Proximity offers a combination of adrenaline-pumping action, spine-tingling suspense and emotional drama.
