The FX Finance department is seeking a Production Analyst to assist in overseeing production accounting for all FX Productions Original Programming.
Responsibilities:
– Set up new shows and interact with show Production Accountants on accounting issues
– Analyze and prepare summaries of cost reports submitted by Production Accountants
– Perform the role of production accountant on shows in pre-production and wrap, including:
o Processing various A/P and Payroll items prior to show Production Accountant starting
o Setting up production accounting system
o Cleaning up trial balances and issuing final cost reports
o Closing out production bank accounts and ensuring surplus funding is returned to the studio
– Review production budgets before they are locked, and conduct variance analyses on production budgets and costs
– Interpret Writers/Producers agreements and prepare applicable payment authorizations
– Review outstanding payments and balances in all externally managed bank accounts with Billing Administrator, and reconcile payments for each project
– Complete monthly bank and production funding reconciliation, and track production cash flows
– Set up project IDs and update project titles in project registry application
– Coordinate with show Production Accountants to send accounting files for earlier seasons to vendor for scanning
– Assist with spot audits of shows and other ad hoc projects as necessary
