ABonAir Releases the AB4000 – a New 4K / UHD/ HD Lightweight and Affordable Wireless Video System

ABonAir, the leading provider of wireless video solutions will introduce at NAB’22 it’s newest addition to its product line: the AB4000 – a 4K wireless video system for applications such as sport, news, remote production, studio, cinema and live events. It is a feature rich, dual-purpose system that can be easily transformed from a transmitting mode to a receiving one. It relies on lightweight and easy to use units that make it a perfect choice for any broadcaster.

The AB4000™ is a broadcast-quality system (4Kp60 video through 12G SDI or HDMI interfaces) with an extremely high picture quality and a robust link, based on the ABonAir unique Bi-Directional® link empowered by its ReTransmit® algorithm, which was designed to overcome wireless interference by acknowledging each and every pixel sent over the air and verifying its content before decoding, using the wireless optimized H.265 CODEC. It supports shading/painting (CCU/RCP) & PTZ camera control and compatible with cameras from manufacturers such as Blackmagic Design, Hitachi, Ikegami, Sony and Panasonic. The AB4000 includes an integrated intercom and Tally light to support multi-camera productions.

“We are bringing to the production world a professional system that is aggressively priced and offers a wealth of features” says ABonAir CEO Eran Igler. “As a veteran vendor in the market, we understand the need for a simple and an intuitive setup. With these in mind, we designed the system accordingly with numerous algorithms to automate the setup process. Feature-rich and affordable, the AB4000 is the ultimate choice for big and small productions alike.”

The AB4000 will be demonstrated live at the 2022 NAB Show in Las-Vegas, April 24-27
