Art Directors Guild Elects Joel Cohen As Their New National Executive Director
The 2025 Spring Officer Election Results Also Include the Associate National Executive Director and Officers Across The ADG’s Four Crafts
The Art Directors Guild (ADG, IATSE Local 800) announces Joel Cohen has been elected as the new National Executive Director (NED) of the ADG, replacing outgoing NED Chuck Parker. A full list of results from guild’s 2025 Spring Officer Elections can be found below.
“Congratulations to all the new and re-elected officers of the Art Directors Guild,” says ADG President Dina Lipton. “I look forward to working and collaborating with all our officers to help lead a united organization ready to move forward and proactively address the challenges facing our industry.”
Cohen previously served as the Associate National Executive Director of the ADG.
“I’m honored to have been elected, and thank you to my peers for your vote of confidence,” says Cohen. “This was something bigger than an election win. It’s about making our voices heard and taking a stand together for fair treatment, stronger protections, and a future where every member has a say in the decisions that shape our work and our lives. Creating the change we deserve isn’t something that happens overnight—it’s something we build together, day by day. The work ahead won’t be easy, but it’s necessary, and together, we will make it happen.
Andrew Stumme was elected to the Associate National Executive Director position.
The Art Directors Council (AD) elected Mark Worthington and Oana Miller as AD Board Members and Michael Allen Glover as the AD Council Chair. The Illustrators, Storyboard Artists and Matte Artists (IMA) council members chose Matthew Cunningham as their IMA Council Chair. Tim Croshaw continues in the role of Council Chair for the Set Designers and Model Makers (SDMM) Council. The Scenic, Title and Graphic Artists (STG) Council elected Sara Escamilla and Anastasia Sergeeva as STG Board Members, and named Sarah Gonzalez the STG Council Chair.
Each of the newly elected officers will serve a three-year term, from June 1, 2025 – May 31, 2028. For more information on the ADG, please visit www.adg.org.
