Door G, an independent full-service Creative Production Studio, today announced it is teaming up with Women in Film & Video New England (WIFVNE), to inspire a new era for women in filmmaking and production, and to demonstrate how the very latest innovations in production technologies and techniques can open vast new realms of opportunity for women in the industry.

Door G Teaming Up with WIFVNE

Founded in 1981, WIFVNE supports female and underrepresented voices in film, television, and media by providing networking, mentorship, and professional development opportunities. For 45 years, WIFVNE has been a cornerstone of the region’s creative community, celebrating storytellers who are, above all, unstoppable.

“One of the core values for the team at Door G is a staunch commitment to advancing – and celebrating – women in an industry that hasn’t always shared that vision,” said Jenna Rezendes, executive producer at Door G. “Our partnership with WIFVNE is an important one as we hope to leverage our talents, our expertise and most importantly, our voices to elevate the talented women in production. This event is the first of many opportunities to band together to educate women in film and video production – worldwide – on the vast opportunities that technologies and techniques like virtual production will afford them.”

“This partnership with Door G represents exactly what WIFVNE is all about; a community coming together to create opportunities and opening doors for everyone in our industry,” said Sharon Contillo, president of WIFVNE. “Virtual production can feel intimidating, but events like this demystify the technology and show our community that these tools are within reach. We’re grateful to Door G for sharing their expertise and their incredible studio space with us.”

The Door G/WIFVNE event in January will be led by Rezendes, as well as key members of the Door G crew including producer Steph Schmura and TITLE Kim DiVincenzo.

Door G: Advancing Virtual Production Across Multiple Industries

Earlier this year, Door G unveiled its state-of-the-art studio designed to deliver innovative, accessible and forward-thinking strategies to help bring global enterprise and consumer brands into an entirely new era of immersive brand engagement leveraging virtual production.

Door G is also the first creative virtual production studio on the east coast of the US to earn the esteemed “EMA Green Seal for Studios” by the Environmental Media Association, which recognizes productions and studios that meet rigorous standards for sustainability in entertainment. For nearly two decades, it has been a mark of leadership and innovation across the

Industry. Environmentally-conscious brands and clients have embraced Door G’s sustainable practices of innovative and highly efficient virtual production workflows.

Door G’s virtual production studio combines physical sets with digital environments, blended seamlessly on a massive “J-shaped” LED wall. Developed in collaboration with such industry-leading partners as Mo-Sys, INFiLED, NVIDIA, Brompton and Puget Systems, Door G’s virtual production stage integrates with Unreal Engine to enable this sustainable and visually stunning storytelling approach.

Driven by Door G’s Virtual Art Department (VAD) of industry-leading artists and technologists, the stage brings immersive digital worlds to life—from hyper-realistic settings to fantastical landscapes. The studio eliminates the constraints of traditional locations while minimizing the need for complex post-production.
