Madrid, Spain, March 5th, 2026: Spanish FM and online broadcaster esRadio has selected DHD RX2 audio production consoles for use at its studio headquarters in Madrid. Part of the Libertad Digital media group, esRadio was launched on September 7th 2009 by Libertad Digital founder Federico Jiménez Losantos. esRadio offers a robust news service plus in-depth coverage of cultural and economic topics as well as general entertainment. It is today the fourth largest commercial general-interest radio network in Spain. The RX2 consoles and associated equipment were supplied and commissioned by Agrupación de Servicios y Productos de Audio (ASPA),
“The RX2 is a complete audio production system which advances esRadio’s quality and efficiency to a whole new level,” comments ASPA’s technical project management team. “Designed for the most demanding broadcast and television environments, it has a scalable modular structure which offers maximum adaptability even in compact spaces. The installed configuration consists of two consoles, each with 18 physical faders. Each console comprises three fader modules and one control module but its capacity is doubled by a layering function which allows complete control over a greater number of channels without taking up additional physical space. The consoles incorporate 100 mm motorised faders with dust protection ensuring long-lasting high grade performance.
“As for its operation, the experience is fluid and intuitive thanks to the 10.1-inch touchscreens integrated into each section. These allow quick channel setup and centralised control. Programmable RGB buttons and flexible encoders adapt their function to the screen content, facilitating access to essential tools such as equalisers, dynamics and gain adjustments.
“At the processing level, the heart of each DHD system is its core, a compact unit that handles a massive audio matrix with up to 96 fully processed stereo faders. The core requires no hard drives or fans, ensuring quiet and low-maintenance operation – crucial for a studio environment. Compatible with Dante, AES67, RAVENNA, ST 2110 and MADI, the system is a futureproof solution for broadcasting.
“For routing broadcast signals and communication between consoles we installed a DHD 52-7523 core matrix. Thanks to the logical functionality between the matrix, the consoles and DHD’s MatrixControl, it is possible to route the main broadcast submatrices, manage commercial breaks and select the studio for broadcast, both manually and using conditional logic.
“For the daily management of its broadcasts, esRadio uses the XFrame Radio automation software developed by ASPA’s R&D department. This system is characterised by its quality, adaptability and security. It is a technology benchmark in Spain and has a significant international presence. We would like to thank esRadio for their continued trust in ASPA and our professional solutions over the years.”
