Last year, ASUSTOR and Seagate co-hosted the Lockerstor 8 and 10 Storage Presentation Conference. Since the Nimbustor 2 and 4 upended the private cloud storage market, the Lockerstor 8 and 10 have been launched to show how serious ASUSTOR is in making storage faster and more reliable than ever before, and plenty of tech professionals will soon know about come this April at the 2020 NAB Show in Las Vegas.
The Lockerstor 8 and 10 come with a new generation of Intel Quad-Core processors and dual Intel 10-Gigabit and Realtek 2.5- Gigabit Ethernet ports which provide faster transfers for multiple devices than ever before. The dual M.2 NVMe slots found on a Lockerstor 8 or 10 support a variety of M.2 form factors. ASUSTOR’s implementation of SSD caching is able to bring the performance of traditional hard drives up to SSD levels, making the Lockerstor 8 and 10 one of the company’s fastest and most convenient enterprise-level NAS devices ever.
The Lockerstor 8 and 10 Storage Presentation Conference also introduced a number of software updates for ADM. The high-performance Lockerstor 8 and 10, not only won favor from small and medium enterprises but also from content creators, live streamers and editors who have high backup needs. The AS-T10G 10-Gigabit network card or AS-U2.5G 2.5-Gigabit network adapter, easily upgrade almost any device to 2.5-Gigabit or 10-Gigabit network speeds to unlock the full potential of a Lockerstor 8 or 10 NAS, providing excellent performance and expandability for small and medium-sized enterprises and creators.
Also recently released, were the Photo Gallery 3 Beta as well as AiFoto 3. The all-new UI introduces timelines and smart album management to make image browsing, sharing and storing faster and more convenient, creating a better experience than ever before
Cloud Backup Center
DataSync Center integrates multiple common public cloud providers and/or services, including but not limited to Google Drive, Dropbox, OneDrive and ASUSTOR EZ Sync. DataSync Center is able to synchronize multiple tasks as well as back up information to and from multiple accounts to create a new “hybrid cloud”, removing the fear that unexpected conditions in public cloud providers, such as outages, poor performance don’t get in the way of your data security.
The newly-released ASUSTOR Live, a live streaming distribution center, turns ASUSTOR NAS into a personal live streaming distribution center that streams live video from phones or computers to multiple live streaming platforms, mitigating the need to use paid streaming services to push content to multiple platforms or multiple accounts. ASUSTOR Live eliminates the need to open multiple live streaming apps simultaneously and live videos are also stored on the NAS in real-time, making it easier to edit recordings, making ASUSTOR Live the ideal live broadcasting and storage tool for those who do significant amounts of live streaming regularly.
Founded in 2011, ASUSTOR Inc. was established via direct investment from ASUSTeK Computer Inc. The ASUSTOR brand name was created as a portmanteau of “ASUS” and “Storage”.
