When it comes to being a manufacturer of storage connectivity, ATTO Technology, Inc has always delivered high end-to-end solutions and products to better store, manage, and deliver data. The company has reigned as a global leader across the IT and media & entertainment market since 1988, delivering efficient network and data storage connectivity. It has never fallen short of providing infrastructure solutions for the most data-intensive computing environments. Now, with its most recent VMware announcement, it will continue to break new data storage limits at a more cost effective rate.
What VMware Ready™ Status Means For ATTO
The announcement came from AMHERST, N.Y, on Monday, August 26th, dictating that the ATTO XstreamCORE® FC 7550 and 7600 accelerated protocol bridges had achieved VMware Ready™ status. The VMware Ready program is VMware’s highest level of endorsement, and it works as a co-branding benefit of the Technology Alliance Partner (TAP) program. Having this program allows for ATTO customers to easily identify partner products certified to work with VMware cloud infrastructure. This allows for customers to use these products and solutions to lower project risks and realize cost savings over custom-built solutions.
ATTO XstreamCORE FC 7550 and 7600
Because the ATTO XstreamCORE FC 7550 and 7600 accelerated protocol bridges are able to transform existing direct-attached SAS storage into scalable fibre channel storage, this allows for IT administrators to design a high-performance storage area network (SAN) at a much quicker and cost-effective standard, which can only be accomplished by connecting direct-attached SAS storage to up to 64 physical hosts. Having VMware Ready™ status succeeds both in achieving greater customer satisfaction, while equally working as a progressive method for ATTO to promote the technological efficiency of its products.
Delving deeper into the limitation breaking aspects of the XstreamCORE, ATTO Technology senior director of marketing, Tom Kolniak couldn’t have said it better when he stated “It’s easy to paint yourself into an IT corner with no practical options for expansion and, in many cases, a forklift upgrade is the only way out.” Tom also went on to say that “XstreamCORE is the practical solution in these situations. For example, server architectures built on blade servers can break free from their inherent storage limitations by just adding XstreamCORE.”
Aside from ATTO Technology ATTO XstreamCORE FC 7550 and 7600, ATTO also manufactures products such as:
- Host adapters
- Network adapters
- Storage controllers
- Thunderbolt™ adapters
In the thirty years since ATTO emerged onto the tech scene, its motto has been “The Power Behind the Storage,” in further demonstrating its delivery of high level connectivity to all storage interfaces, which have included Fibre Channel, SAS, SATA, iSCSI, Ethernet, NVMe and Thunderbolt. Now that XstreamCORE FC 7550 and 7600 have achieved VMware Ready™ status, it will certainly continue to live by that slogan.
