We are currently interviewing candidates for Audio/Video Sales Engineer

Audio/Video Sales Engineers are responsible for working with sales and account management teams as the key technical advisors and advocates for the technology we provide. Each Sales Engineer must be able to clearly articulate the benefits and drawbacks of the technology we provide to corporate and higher educational clients. Each Sales Engineer must be able to identify all technical requirements to assure complete customer satisfaction through all stages of the sales, design, and implementation processes, establishing and maintaining strong relationships throughout every project cycle. Sales Engineers identify the needs of our clients, and act as the liaisons between the sales and design teams including large-scale video distribution and display systems, conferencing solutions, performance sound systems, broadcast and recording studios, and more.

Sales Engineers work both in-house and remotely in collaboration with sales teams and the design engineering team, often consulting with other engineers during the pre-sales process. Sales Engineers report to the Sales Engineering Manager within the Engineering Department.

Responsibilities

A successful Sales Engineer must:

  • Demonstrate excellent written and in-person communication. This includes:
  • o Leading technical solution discussions in the pre-sale process in a way that non-technical clients can understand.
  • o Demonstrating the product line to customers.
  • o Conveying customer requirements to post sales departments for proper implementation.

o Developing and delivering proposals including company profiles and executive summaries, and crafting easy to understand cover letters and summary documents as they relates to designs.

  • Possess strong communication skills in written responses and when submitting documents as outlined above, and can present one’s-self professionally always: This includes being both articulate and presentable, professional dress required.
  • Demonstrate a clear eagerness to be helpful to peers, volunteer expertise when it is helpful, and work to benefit others, the team, and the company as a whole above personal gains.
  • Demonstrate an eagerness to grow in expertise through the pursuit of research, training, or other continuing education regarding subjects related to industry conventions, codes, philosophies, or manufacturer and device specifications.
  • Demonstrate efficiency in completing all assigned tasks.
  • Demonstrate consistent punctuality and accuracy of reporting through both scheduling calendar and time-sheet. This includes time off-site while travel throughout sales territory for engineering consultation, site visits, field engineering, and job closing.
  • Ability to hold non-traditional work hours, including evenings and weekends as required.
  • Be self-motivated with a proven track record in design and technological aptitude.
  • Be excited to adapt to and test-pilot cutting edge technology.
  • Be organized, analytical, and able to eliminate obstacles through creative/adaptive approaches.

Required Qualifications

  • Valid driver’s license
  • Ability to pass a CORI background check.
  • Post-secondary degree or more than 3 years of technical sales or production experience

Desired Qualifications

  • Post-secondary degree or higher related to the field of AV design, engineering, or production.
  • Industry relevant certifications, such as CTS, or audio or video manufacturer specific certifications

We are currently interviewing candidates for Audio/Video Engineering Administrator

Audio/Video Engineer Administrators are responsible for working within the engineering team to facilitate the interface of that team with other areas in the company. Engineering Administrators work with design and sales engineers to gather and process information, and to aggregate design information for handoff to other departments.

Engineering Administrators work in-house in a collaborative team of peers, often closely with other engineers. Engineering Administrators report to the Director of Engineering within the Engineering Department.

Responsibilities

A successful Engineering Administrator must:

  • Demonstrate excellent written communication, specifically in written correspondence with engineers and other company departments.
  • Have an understanding of digital asset management, including a good understanding of computer file organizational strategies
  • Present one’s-self professionally at all times: This includes being both articulate and presentable, professional dress required.
  • Demonstrate a clear eagerness to be helpful to peers, volunteer expertise when it is helpful, and work to benefit others, the team, and the company as a whole above personal gains.
  • Demonstrate an eagerness to grow in expertise through the pursuit of research, training, or other continuing education regarding subjects related to industry conventions, codes, philosophies, or manufacturer and device specifications.

Required Qualifications

  • Ability to pass a CORI background check.
  • High School Diploma

Desired Qualifications

  • Post-secondary degree or higher
  • Experience in managing a product database
  • Industry relevant certifications, such as CTS, or audio or video manufacturer specific certifications
