axle Video: Simplifies Media Management!

axle Video has simplified asset media management by making your media accessible to any web browser of your choosing! The software is unbelievably simple to use and provides your production crew the “must haves” in creating well managed video content. This powerful software bundle is explained below, and best of all, it’s affordable on virtually any budget!

The core software *axle 2014 is the latest edition of axle’s award-winning media management software. Simply point axle at the media files you want to manage and it automatically creates low-bandwidth proxies you can then access from any web browser. Using the simple browser interface, it’s easy to search, comment, mark, approve, and annotate your assets from any location. There’s no need to move your media files or change your system setup. Your storage can be a SAN, a NAS or just a local RAID, and can be running in a Mac, Windows or Linux environment – all axle needs is to be able to read the file system. For optimal system performance, axle Video recommends running axle 2014 on a dedicated Mac Mini. This affordable  software which includes five-user license pack costs $1,695!

axle Gear provides for all the tools for mastering your video content. *axle Gear combines two Mac mini 2.6GHz quad-core Intel i7 CPUs in a tightly-coupled configuration with axle and Telestream software to create an optimized media management appliance that takes only 1U of rack space. Telestream allows axle to handle more video formats, and the dual-CPU architecture allows transcoding and viewing to take place on different systems, delivering incredible performance. The system includes two Gigabit Ethernet ports, two Thunderbolt connections, two FireWire 800 connections, and eight USB 3.0 interfaces. Working storage is provided by dual Fusion drive subsystems, each 1 terabyte in size. Multiple options are available from axle’s resellers to expand both the system’s I/O and its working storage. The axle Gear appliance with a five-user license pack costs $6,995. axle Gear comes with a one-year warranty on all hardware. NOTE: axle Gear Pro is the tool to bridge your Avid Media line of editors- *axle Gear Pro with support for Avid work-spaces and Avid Media Composer, offers a cost-effective solution to manage even the most sophisticated media workflow. The axle Gear Pro appliance with a five-user license pack costs $8,995.

The axle Gear for Adobe Anywhere is one of the first MAM’s that provides for today’s extremely popular and “hot” Adobe Anywhere platform! *axle Gear for Adobe Anywhere takes full advantage of Adobe’s bold new Anywhere platform. Use axle’s management capabilities to find your media and collaborate with your network of editors and producers, then export into Adobe Anywhere for editing. Once editing is complete, use axle’s metadata tagging to catalog your clips, and the approval feature to share your media with non-Anywhere clients who can comment on and approve the clip remotely. The axle Gear for Adobe Anywhere appliance with a five-user license pack costs $11,995.

*axle GearStack combines axle Gear with MOG’s mxfSPEEDRAIL Xpress ingest appliance to create a powerful video production tool that takes up less than one cubic foot of space. Each GearStack occupies 2 standard rack units of height and less than 12 inches of depth. Xpress is flexibly configured between file-based ingest, file-based and HD-SDI baseband ingest, or HD-SDI ingest only. With a standard web browser, ingests can be monitored as they occur, and ingested material is logged through the mxfSPEEDRAIL Xpress user interface. Using the same browser, users can search and browse the material, or launch Telestream transcoding through the axle Gear user interface. Network connectivity is provided through four standard Gigabit Ethernet ports, using Category 6 cabling. The axle GearStack with a five-user license pack starts at $19,995.
