The Netherlands – December 2, 2025 – BCNEXXT, the developers of the advanced playout platform Vipe, today announced a new Service Provider Partner agreement with NPC Media, the Australian managed playout service provider for several of the nation’s major networks.
This strategic alliance follows an extensive evaluation period, after which NPC Media selected BCNEXXT’s Vipe platform as part of a major technology refresh, which will provide a new level of efficiency, flexibility and reliability to their services.
Vipe’s adaptive, containerized microservices architecture represents a paradigm shift from traditional playout models. By orchestrating resources in real time and scaling automatically to the complexity of the schedule, Vipe not only reduces infrastructure and operational costs but also delivers uncompromising reliability, achieving 99.9999% uptime. Its unique pre-assembly and exception-based automation architectures allow operational resilience, with many routine processes handled automatically. This increases channel-to-operator ratios for all types of content.

NPC Media identified Vipe as the optimal solution to meet its long-term strategic objectives. “Vipe is the most advanced containerized micro-services based playout software on the market and is particularly suitable to our highly reactive environment, and will enable NPC to provide truly scalable, cost-effective and highly reliable services to the Australasia market,” said Paul Mullen, CEO of NPC Media.
Vipe’s approach to playout fundamentally breaks the one-to-one channel-to-server relationship, transforming fixed costs into dynamic, usage-based models. Complex live events deploy greater compute power, while static branding and routine content use minimal compute – making resource utilization highly granular and cost-effective. Vipe consolidates silos by enabling linear, FAST, streaming and VoD channels to be played from a single platform and content pool. It is fully broadcast-grade, including support for Dolby, HDR, and SCTE triggering, meeting the demands of modern media operations.
BCNEXXT will work closely with NPC Media to integrate the Vipe platform, enabling a new level of operational efficiency and service innovation. Together, the companies are setting a new benchmark for agile, future-ready playout in the region.
“We are looking forward to working with NPC Media as part of their multi-channel technology refresh,” stated Sander Ten Dam, CEO of BCNEXXT. “We have a high regard for their operations and believe we can enable them to stay at the forefront of the transitioning playout services business in Australasia, while helping them broaden their services offering.”
