BirdDog Announces the BirdDog Mini at NAB 2018; Industry’s Smallest Full Bitrate HDMI to NDI Encoder

Melbourne, Australia (April 8, 2018) – BirdDog (www.bird-dog.tv) today announced the industry’s smallest, most flexible full bitrate HDMI to NDI; the BirdDog Mini. Developed by the team that created the BirdDog Studio NDI encoder, the BirdDog Mini is designed for maximum flexibility as the industry’s smallest NDI encoder to supports all resolutions, from SD to 1080p, as well as support for frame rates up to 60p.

The new BirdDog Mini is 100% compatible with the NDI protocol (Network Device Interface), the most scalable, practical IP standard available. NDI is compatible with hundreds of models of production equipment from dozens of manufacturers from edit suites to playout servers, vision switchers and graphics generators, making ideal for integration into any production environment.

The BirdDog team will be available to demonstrate BirdDog Mini at NAB 2018 in their booth #C1146 in the Central Hall of the LVCC.

Tally: The BirdDog Mini makes Tally easy, with zero configuration required, built-in Tally display and selectable Tally borders on loop out.

1080p60: With support for all resolutions from SD right through to 1080p and frame rates up to 60p, BirdDog Mini is designed for maximum flexibility.

Flexible Power: BirdDog Mini can be powered by Power over Ethernet (PoE) or D-Tap from your camera battery. No need for a power adapter, although there is one available should you need it.
