BirdDog (www.bird-dog.tv) today announces our new PF120 High Bandwidth NDI camera which also marks the companies first foray into the box camera category. PF120 is shipping now and is already in stock at most major resellers and distributors globally.

PF120 is built using the highest quality components including a Sony Exmor R Back Illuminated Image Sensor and a super high quality 20x Zoom lens. PF120 also houses BirdDog’s custom silicon NDI implementation to produce broadcast quality images and features simultaneous NDI and HDMI output. There is also a USB UVC connector allowing for use with Zoom, Teams, Meet, Webex, BlueJeans, Barco ClickShare, and any application that supports USB UVC.

On the front of the PF120 is a large Tally light that works when connected to an NDI production switcher, or any NDI software that supports NDI Tally and the lens has a 49mm screw thread for attaching filters.

PF120 also features BirdDog’s Colour Matrix tools which can be controlled remotely by Cam Control, a free application that can be downloaded from BirdDog’s website. There are 64 positions of Hue and Saturation for Red, Green, Blue, Cyan, Magenta, and Yellow. Additional to the Colour Matrix is Kelvin Control.

“We couldn’t be more excited about the PF120 and our first foray into a new category,” said Dan Miall, BirdDog Co-Founder and CEO. “We think the PF120 is a great option for fixed camera installations as it can be controlled over a single network cable for Video, Audio, Power, and Remote Shading.”

PF120 is housed in a full metal enclosure and has standard ¼-20” and 3-8” tripod mounts, as well as an anti-rotation guide hole. There is a locking power supply connector, and PF120 includes a PSU with global connectors for when not using PoE+. There are also 3.5mm audio inputs and outputs.

“PF120 really is built ready for productions,” said Dan Miall, BirdDog Co-Founder and CEO. “The flexibility of the camera and connectors makes it perfect for many applications including live-streaming, video conferencing, educational facilities, medical installations, live sports, house of worship and so much more. We just can’t wait to see how our customers put PF120 to work.”
