Announces Strategic Partnerships Designed to Accelerate Broad Adoption of New BirdDog NDI® Hardware, Software and Cloud-Based NDI® Workflows
BirdDog (www.birddog.tv) today announced its comprehensive new strategy to elevate the strategic significance of NDI®-based workflows for broadcasters, live event producers, post production facilities and the corporate enterprise. Central to this strategy is a breadth of innovative and accessible new hardware, software and cloud-based NDI® workflow solutions, which debuted at NAB 2022 in Las Vegas.
Additionally, BirdDog is announcing several strategic partnerships designed to accelerate adoption and broaden accessibility of its NDI® workflow solutions in key markets – from broadcasting, live event production and enterprise-wide streaming and conferencing.
BirdDog NDI Solutions Debuted at NAB 2022
BirdDog announced a breadth of newly-announced NDI® hardware, software and cloud-based workflow solutions, including a number of industry-first products that significantly enhance the broadcast, live event production and post production workflow experience.
New BirdDog NDI Hardware Solutions
- BirdDog Core NDI® Monitor/Recorder: Available in 5” or 7” models, the BirdDog Core is an industry-first NDI® on-set monitor/recorder that converts any SDI or HDMI signal live into a host of streaming formats including industry standards – NDI®, NDI|HX2, NDI|HX3, SRT, H.264, HEVC/H.265, RTMP, or RTSP in up to 4K p60.
- Additional benefits include:
- When combining the core monitoring and media processing functionalities with a BirdDog Cloud Connect license, BirdDog Core becomes a globally connected video source with extremely low latency;
- The High Bright screens are viewable in direct sunlight;
- Video analysis tools include Vector scopes, Waveform, RGB parade, and more.
- An SFP+ port allows for a direct 10GbE connection over copper or Fiber for ultra-long runs.

- BirdDog OG4: The new BirdDog OG4 openGear card is the industry’s first scalable, rack-mountable NDI® card, and features four independently configurable 12G SDI inputs and outputs. openGear is an open-architecture in a modular 2RU rack frame system that allows for OG’s from various manufacturers to work together seamlessly in the same frame. - BirdDog P110 and P120 NDI® PTZ Cameras: The new P110 and P120 set a new benchmark in format support, connection flexibility, and picture quality, with excellent low light performance. Housing a Sony Exmor R back-illuminated sensor and BirdDog’s custom NDI® silicon, P110 and P120 offer multiple benefits including:

- BirdDog Pod: BirdDog’s NDI® to UVC converter enables access to any NDI® video and instantly converts it to a USB webcam. Users can connect to Zoom, Microsoft Teams, Meet and any conferencing or software application that supports a standard USB Webcam input. BirdDog Pod also supports direct selection of sources via its 4 inbuilt buttons and API commands for flexible conferencing software integration, such as Zoom or Teams.
New BirdDog NDI Software and Cloud-Based Solutions
- BirdDog Cloud Connect for Adobe Premiere: Enables production teams to access an Adobe Premiere edit session securely on an Apple, Android or Samsung mobile device or TV natively, providing an ‘over-the-shoulder’ editing experience from anywhere in the world, with a real-time view of the Premiere timeline and enabling a compelling new collaborative editing experience.
- BirdDog Central 2.0: BirdDog Central 2.0 is a browser-based NDI® routing application that routes NDI® video across the network easily by selecting a source, a destination device or group, and simply hitting ‘connect.’ With built-in SSO security, smart grouping of NDI® receivers, real-time NDI® routing, media playback engine, and support for thousands of sources, Central 2.0 ushers in a new era of NDI® facility control.
- BirdDog Camera Director: BirdDog Camera Director is a versatile new tool for managing productions with multiple BirdDog PTZ cameras. Create individual Pan, Tilt, and Zoom paths for each camera, group those cameras together to move as one when you recall that preset, or create as many multicam presets as needed and then set them to start automatically by adding waypoints. Camera Director is designed for productions with repetitive sets of movements, such as horse racing, awards ceremonies, presentations, auto racing, and many more.
- BirdDog Multiview 2.0: BirdDog Multiview is the Company’s powerful, flexible multi-screen monitoring, playback and control panel software for NDI® productions. At NAB 2022, BirdDog unveiled two new versions: Mac and Server Editions. The Mac version takes full advantage of the powerful Mac M1 CPU and GPU acceleration, while the Server Edition allows users anywhere on the network to access Multiview from their System Tray and generate Multiview NDI® streams.
New Strategic Partnerships

- HP Enterprise: BirdDog has entered into a strategic partnership with Hewlett Packard Enterprise (HPE) to certify HPE ProLiant servers and HPE Edgeline Converged systems to power BirdDog Cloud and BirdDog Cloud Connect NDI® workflow solutions.
- Grass Valley: BirdDog has partnered with Grass Valley to enable tightly integrated hybrid-cloud workflows directly within the Grass Valley Agile Media Processing Platform (AMPP). In an industry first, BirdDog’s suite of production quality PTZ cameras and converters will feature seamless integration with the AMPP video production environment in the Cloud. This integration is made possible by BirdDog’s newly-launched BirdDog Silicon 2 firmware update, which delivers unrivaled format support for globally connected NDI® workflows.
