Production Assistant / Operations Technician

QUALIFICATIONS:
High school diploma, on-the-job experience, or 4 year degree in Communications
Knowledge of Broadcast Production equipment, techniques, and language
Experience in Master Control operations preferred
Multi-channel operations experience a plus
Ability to work in a team-oriented environment
Good interpersonal/communication skills, as well as sound judgment and decision making

DUTIES:
Entry level position as TV camera operator and floor director
Operate TV cameras (studio and remote), teleprompter, and floor direct for live and taped productions
Floor direct for live and taped productions by cues to talent
Operate TV cameras by physically moving camera and operating controls
Operate remote cameras by lifting, moving, and operating controls
Assist talent as verbally directed by supervisor
Assist in preparation of scripts and materials for productions
Set-up and tear-down of set materials: building, lifting, arranging, lighting, and cabling
Maintain studio by cleaning, vacuuming, floor buffing, storage and organizing equipment and set materials
Other duties as assigned by Director of Operations
Responsible for maintaining on-air accuracy of programs in Master Control, ingesting commercials, monitoring the quality of the broadcast signal, setting up incoming satellite feeds and logging events
