Production Coordinator

  • Create production schedules with printers to meet publication dates
  • Organize files and art for submission to color separators
  • Check proofs, blues, and F&Gs along with the editors
  • Submit purchase orders and shipping instructions to printers
  • Act as main contact for layout changes with International publishers
  • Update and maintain the website content
  • Assist the publicist with designing press releases, distributing press images, and updating the event calendar
  • Three to five years experience in book production
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word and Excel), Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop and InDesign), and Quark
  • Editing and project management experience required
  • Familiarity with content management systems
  • Design and color correcting experience a plus
