Job Description
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES include the following:
– Maintain the integrity of on-air, on-line and data-cast products.
– Maintain, troubleshoot and repair broadcast plant, equipment and technical systems.
– Install equipment and systems at studio locations, transmitters, and on-site events in keeping with good engineering practice and applicable codes.
– Document equipment and wiring systems, using software as well as manual drafting.
– Assist in planning and development of all aspects of radio station technical facilities, including studios, transmitters, telephone systems, satellite and STL systems, two-way systems, vehicles, computers and networks.
– Support station on-site and field operations during major events.
– Assist in teaching proper use of technical equipment and compliance with FCC Rules and company policies.
Required Qualifications QUALIFICATIONS: One year experience in broadcast facilities or a related field preferred. Hands-on maintenance experience with radio studio systems, and transmitters, a big plus. Knowledge of personal computers is important. Valid CA driver’s license for operation of company vehicles is required. A personal vehicle is required for response to emergencies. Excellent customer service skills are required.
