Temporary, Monday – Friday position to provide operational and logistical support to the News and Content divisions; assists in studio bookings and in-house technical resource management; assists with recording of audio and assist with loaner equipment; assist reporters assigned to bureaus or field locations; assists with the communicating details for live events and breaking news coverage. In addition, actively works to implement initiatives tied to divisional and departmental goals.
Essential Duties Include:
Provides operational and logistical support to the News and Content Divisions.
Arranges for recording of incoming news audio feeds.
Handles short-term equipment loans.
Assists staff with self-op facilities.
Assists with pass-offs.
Assists with studio bookings and technical resource management.
Books studio time for news and programming productions.
Assists with in-house technical resource management.
Books appropriate production space for outside clients.
Assists with station Interconnects.
Assists with loaner equipment.
Checks-out equipment to News staff.
Maintains equipment to ensure proper working order. Reports equipment problems.
Assist with accurate inventory of equipment and reports any problems.
Provides operational and logistical assistance to news shows as well as with live/breaking news coverage.
Assures that bureaus have access of audio feeds.
Provides production assistance to remote production locations.
Communicates coverage plans for live/breaking news.
Assists reporters and production staff assigned to bureau or field locations.
Handles requests for recent and archival audio material needed for news programming.
Handles requests for supplies and equipment.
Assist with training interns and production staff.
Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:
Education: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience in journalism, communications/media/media production
