Post Production Engineer

Growing media company is seeking an experienced video engineer to develop our post production infrastructure. This position will require interacting with post production staff, analyzing issues, troubleshooting, and addressing video issues. Should have experience with video post production networking and server installations.

Direct the activities of broadcast post production in the planning, development, implementation of workflows and hardware. Maintain the ability to provide documentation, support, and maintenance of the company’s network communications and NLE infrastructure. Candidate should have extensive understanding of Post Production workflows.

Should have experience previously at a post production facility, or tape room.
Knowledge of post production analysis, design, testing, debugging & maintenance techniques.
Knowledge of network infrastructure and security hardware and software.
Ability to establish working relationships with production teams and editors.
Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing.
Ability to work independently in establishing priorities and responding to post production needs.
ASCR Avid qualified engineer recommended.
Basic of SAN systems- implementation and networking theory.
Advanced knowledge of video equipment, servers, and tape machines.
An understanding of broadcast legalization, formats, and network specifications.
Knowledge of NLE software including Avid Media Composer, Final Cut Pro, Da Vinci Resolve, Adobe After Effects, Photoshop, and Pro Tools.
