Production Assistant/Researcher, Fox News Poll

Fox News is looking for a Production Assistant/Researcher to work on public opinion research and the Fox News Poll in New York. Candidates must love details, have strong analytical skills, and a keen interest in politics and public affairs.
The position reports directly to the Vice President of Public Opinion Research.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Fact-checking and copy-editing questionnaires, releases and articles
Designing and proofing on-air graphics of poll results
Fielding inquiries from producers about poll usage
Evaluating external polls
Producing all on-air exit poll graphics for election coverage
Training producers on poll basics
Creating and maintaining extensive spreadsheets of past trend data
Producing charts for foxnews.com and working closely with dot com production team
Acting as liaison between exit poll team and graphics department for election systems
Maintaining computer database of 14,000+ poll questions
Monitoring and posting video of on-air Fox poll segments to foxnews.com/polls
Maintaining a timeline of political events
Conducting research via on-line databases (Lexis, Dow Jones)

Requirements:
Comfortable working with people and numbers (checking and double-checking)
Ability to multi-task and prioritize is a necessity
Proficient in Excel and Word
Strong research skills
Exceptional organizational skills
Good news judgment and strong knowledge of current events
Ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
Highly motivated and flexible, and willing to work evening and weekends, especially during election season
