  • Coordinates public and educational access policies and operations
  • Oversees Production Services Department, booking CreaTV San Jose staff to produce field and studio projects for clientele
  • Work with access producers from various socioeconomic and cultural backgrounds in a non-judgemental and supportive / encouraging environment
  • Oversees media training curriculum in a variety of formats to encourage the development of creative community programming, working with other staff as appropriate
  • Oversees scheduling of training classes, contract trainers and equipment through a computerized reservation system
  • Oversees the CreaTV San Jose equipment certification process, ensuring that equipment is used
    only by appropriately certified people
  • Oversees Education Services Coordinator who manages CreaTV Youth Media programs
  • Supervises and evaluates Production Crewpeople and Access Facilitators
  • May occasionally direct, produce, shoot, light, or perform audio for CreaTV San Jose productions or other special video projects as assigned or approved by the Executive Director
  • May teach video production and media training classes
  • May be assigned night and weekend shifts
  • May need to regularly use a personal vehicle for business-related travel in Santa Clara County
  • Non-profit organization administration
  • Cable access television and programming
  • Volunteer development
  • Technical aspects of video production, including operation of video cameras, tape
    machines, editing systems
  • Transfer knowledge of highly complex equipment and production techniques to
    community users of various ages and levels of expertise
  • Work creatively and flexibly in a team environment, operating autonomously under minimal supervision, but accepting direction, supervision, and guidance when appropriate
  • Communicate information about CreaTV San Jose clearly through website, emails, and newsletters
