Waterloo, Ontario, May 28, 2019 — Dejero, an innovator in cloud-managed solutions that provide Emmy® award winning video transport and Internet connectivity while mobile or in remote locations, is partnering with land terminal provider AQYR to launch a Dejero CellSat turn-key rental package. The package brings the best of both cellular and satellite connection paths to mobile broadcast teams and includes the AQYR TYPHOON 1.0 meter satellite terminal that delivers lightning fast satellite acquisition in the field.
“This new rental package is about convenience and reliability; it makes our easy-to-use and easy-to-transport CellSat solution even more readily accessible to broadcasters and content providers across the US and Europe,” said Kevin Fernandes, VP, broadcast at Dejero. “AQYR’s development process is just like ours; highly focused on using requirements-driven design informed by a close collaboration with our customers – the mobile broadcast teams in the field. Dejero is always aiming to make broadcasters’ jobs easier and to provide assurance when their teams go live from anywhere in the field.
“With this partnership, we’re able to provide a turn-key rental service to broadcasters that allows them to benefit from the multiple advantages of both the CellSat connectivity service and the AQYR satellite terminal.”
The HEVC capable Dejero CellSat solution intelligently blends cellular connectivity from multiple mobile networks with Intelsat’s Ku-band IP satellite connectivity, giving broadcasters the confidence to reliably deliver exceptional picture quality in scenarios where cellular bandwidth may be limited.
The Dejero CellSat solution includes equipment, software, and connectivity services to the CellSat network—all managed in the cloud, and backed with industry-leading technical support. CellSat now comes with additional features that provide enhanced reliability, multiple antenna options including portable flyaway and vehicle-mount options, and additional connectivity plans to suit the varied needs of customers. CellSat officially launched in Europe at the beginning of this year.
The AQYR TYPHOON 1.0 meter terminal delivers lightning fast satellite acquisition in one rugged case for two-way broadband VSAT communications and is comprised of a lightweight carbon fiber reflector, auto positioner and compact integrated RF components. The terminal is fully operable from the auto positioner or can be accessed through a remote GUI to manage network profiles and view real time updates.
“We’re proud to play an important role in the creation of this new Dejero rental package for remote broadcasters which is made possible thanks to our cutting edge satellite technology,” said Carl D’Alessandro, President of AQYR Technologies. “We are known for our reliable, easy to use and ‘manpackable’ terminals, that are used by elite Special Operation Forces. The TYPHOON is the next-generation of this rapidly deployable satellite communication technology, which is now being offered to mobile broadcast teams.”
The CellSat rental package in partnership with AQYR is available in Europe/in the US through Dejero sales channels.
