Leipzig, Germany, 19 August 2025: DHD announces a major addition to the capabilities of its broadcast-quality digital audio mixing and production systems. Scheduled to make its first exhibition appearance on DHD stand 8.B46 at the 12-15 September International Broadcasting Convention in Amsterdam, the new Routing Web App is compatible with all DHD IP cores (standard XC3, high-capacity XD3 and XS3) and all DHD mixers able to run version 10.4 firmware.
DHD IP cores provide the processing power needed for each control console in the company’s product range. These currently comprise the ultra-configurable RX2, the compact price-optimised SX2, ultra-compact desktop DX2 and multitouch tabletop TX2.
“Routing in many studios is an under-the-hood facility which is largely taken for granted until it needs adjustment or major reconfiguration,” says Christoph Gottert, DHD’s international sales manager. “The DHD Routing Web App makes the entire process of assigning and managing incoming sources and output ports fully transparent easy to view and control.”
An HTML5-based web application, the Routing Web App runs directly on the web server integrated within the processing core. It can be securely accessed by an authorised operator or technician using any modern browser and allows the core’s entire input/output channel configuration to be controlled locally or remotely. Individual crosspoint matrices can be created and displayed graphically or as an I/O list. Matrices are storable as presets for fast selection and recall.
Scheduled for release together with firmware version 10.4 in early 2026, the Routing Web App will expand to six the range of DHD Web Apps which currently comprises the Assist App, Labels App, Snapshot App, System App and Views App. Each can be activated on a licence basis.
The Routing Web App will be demonstrated at IBC alongside examples from the range of DHD broadcast audio consoles and IP audio cores plus the RM1 all-in-one audio interface which is a complete audio production system in a compact and lightweight desktop unit capable of operating from a wall outlet or USB linked power source.
DHD audio GmbH develops and produces digital audio studio equipment and systems for professional applications in broadcast control rooms, DJ-operated radio studios, OB trucks, SNG vans, ingest stations and edit suites. DHD also produces routing and talkback matrices, audio-over-IP interfaces, and supporting software. DHD devices can be operated directly or under IP networked control. Designed and manufactured in Germany, DHD products are used successfully by broadcasters around the globe.
