DHD Gears for Hamburg Open 2026 with Latest Audio Production Innovations

Leipzig, Germany, 11 December 2025: DHD audio will demonstrate the latest additions to its range of digital audio production solutions on Booth 321 in Hall B6 at Hamburg Open 2026. The show will be held at its usual Hamburg Messe & Congress Centre venue from Wednesday 14 through Thursday 15 January.

“Hamburg Open attracts media creatives from the broadcast, film and online streaming sectors as well as system integrators and related service providers,” says Christoph Gottert, DHD international sales manager. “Our exhibit lineup will include the latest-generation RM1 Pro portable broadcast-from-anywhere production system, AI-based noise reduction, the ultra-configurable RX2 mixing console, compact SX2, desktop DX2 and ultracompact multitouch tabletop TX2.”

RM1 Pro audio production system
Announced at the mid September 2025 International Broadcasting Convention in Amsterdam and now in full production, DHD’s RM1 Pro is a complete studio-quality audio production system housed in a compact desktop unit weighing only 1 kg. Based on the entry-level RM1, RM1 Pro has an extended toolset for use in remote or onsite broadcast contribution, live news production, web radio and podcasting. Feature include AD/DA interfacing, audio preamps, 48 volt phantom power for condenser microphones, Bluetooth audio, Dante 4×4, audio mixing, EQ and dynamics. Like the standard RM1, RM1 Pro includes an AutoMix mode which can be used to balance incoming audio channels automatically, conforming background audio to a presettable level and minimising distractions. Extra features of RM1 Pro allow tight connectivity with DHD infrastructure located at their host broadcasting centre. Logic commands can be exchanged with other DHD devices for talkback or on-air signalling. Users also gain access to individual DHD Toolbox configurations plus the ability to create an RM1 Pro user interface tailored to their workflow, including loudness-metering functionality. RM1 Pro behaves like a standard DHD Series 52 core device so additional software or features such as remote faders can be licensed if required. The remote-faders option, for example, allows RM1 Pro channels to be controlled from another DHD system or vice versa.

AI-based voice enhancement
AI-based voice enhancement is designed to enhance the quality of live or recorded audio contributions such as sports commentaries or city-centre news reports. Integrated into the DHD XD3 IP core processor, it will be available for use with any DHD audio mixing desk. “A DX2 desktop console will be used as the control interface for this demonstration at Hamburg Open 2026,” Christoph Gottert adds. “Developed in partnership with ai|acoustics, AI-based voice enhancement is an exceptionally powerful addition to the DHD audio production toolset, allowing noise-compromised content with high potential audience interest to be rendered fully acceptable for transmission.”

Audio mixing firmware 10.4
DHD’s RX2, SX2 and TX2 audio mixers running latest-generation Firmware 10.4 will be demonstrated. Among new features are:
• Flex Channels, allowing access to up to 2,000 signal sources. Source selection is performed from a specifically defined source list rather than from the pool of fader channels.
• Channel Categories enables the input source list to be filtered for specific content.
• Mic Preamp Control. Now more flexible than ever, this allows the A-Gain value of a mic input to be set at any time without the need for assignment to a fader. You can use a touchscreen, the Views App or the API to change this A-Gain parameter.
• DHD Control API, a companion plug-In for Streamdeck (bitfocus.io/companion). The plug-in is now available at github.com/dhd-audio under MIT licence.
• TypeScript Library for the Control API on the DHD cores allows easy integration with third-party software.
• Go Library for easy integration of DHD Control API in third-party software allows developers to build applications that interact seamlessly with DHD devices. The library is available at github.com/dhd-audio.
• New Control API for DHD AES67 interfaces: Format is similar to the existing Control API for DHD cores.

Routing Web App
Also new, DHD’s Routing Web App makes the entire process of assigning and managing incoming sources and output ports easy to view and control. Scheduled for release together with firmware version 10.4 in early 2026, the Routing Web App will expand to six the range of DHD Web Apps which currently embraces the Assist App, Labels App, Snapshot App, System App and Views App. Each can be activated on a licence basis.

DHD audio GmbH develops and produces digital audio studio equipment and systems for professional applications in broadcast control rooms, DJ-operated radio studios, OB trucks, SNG vans, ingest stations and edit suites. DHD also produces routing and talkback matrices, audio-over-IP interfaces, and supporting software. DHD devices can be operated directly or under IP networked control. Designed and manufactured in Germany, DHD products are used successfully by broadcasters around the globe.
