ENCO to Demonstrate Video for Radio Advances at IBC2015

Southfield, MI, August 31, 2015ENCO will showcase its innovations in Video for Radio at IBC2015, creating an automated workflow that seamlessly delivers high-quality video feeds with radio streams without the need for manual intervention. The solution includes integration with leading multi-camera video production systems to ensure a rich, broadcast-quality media experience for TV, web and mobile consumption of live and on-demand radio programming.

“Video for Radio is a technology trend that continues to evolve, from delivery of dynamic graphics to music videos and targeted commercial content,” said Ken Frommert, ENCO. “Our integrated, fully automated platform brings dynamic video and graphics into the audio streaming experience without changing the traditional radio production workflow. Radio stations and networks can deliver a complete experience to their audiences without the learning curve of manual video production.”

Visual Radio

ENCO’s Video for Radio solutions are designed to work with high-end production systems as opposed to less robust, lower-quality webcasting platforms. This enables radio broadcasters to captivate online audiences with a more compelling multi-camera streaming service that delivers the exceptional quality and reliability of a true TV experience. The intelligence of the system eliminates the need to create separate video playlists, as the application automatically recognizes which video and graphical content pairs with a specific audio stream or clip, including advertisements. Similarly, the workflow supports automatic camera switching between hosts and guests during live radio programming, triggered though recognition of “hot” microphones.

The Video for Radio application, built into the latest version of ENCO’s DAD radio automation system, seamlessly integrates with NewTek’s TriCaster, VidiGo’s Visual Radio platform, and ORAD’s RadioTV. All platforms give broadcasters using DAD the ability to schedule, synchronize and play out videos, switch live camera feeds, display real-time animated graphics, and integrate bugs, crawls, social media, RSS and other data feeds. ENCO will demonstrate Video for Radio solutions at IBC2015, taking place September 11-15 at the RAI Convention Center in Amsterdam, at Stand 8.A45.
