Globecast continues to drive Premier Padel’s worldwide reach with innovative IP and cloud-based delivery partnership

Globecast, the leading provider of broadcast, media and entertainment managed services, continues to play a pivotal role in the global distribution of Premier Padel, the leading official professional padel tour worldwide tour, as the sport grows from strength to strength in its rapid global expansion.

Since 2022, Globecast has worked alongside Premier Padel to support the successful delivery of over 58 international events, evolving from initial satellite-based distribution to a fully IP and cloud-powered model. This transition has been key to helping the tour meet the demands of its fast-growing, globally distributed fan base and its expanded annual calendar of more than 24 major tournaments across 16 countries, culminating in the exciting climax of the 2025 season in December, with the prestigious Qatar Airways Premier Padel Tour Finals in Barcelona.

The current delivery model, built around Net Insight’s Nimbra Edge media cloud platform, enables secure, low-latency distribution to over 20 broadcasters and media rights holders worldwide. With ten-hour daily live windows across week-long tournaments, Globecast’s infrastructure ensures reliable, high-quality delivery while allowing for greater flexibility, scalability, and operational efficiency.

“We are committed to growing padel and bringing the sport to new audiences and territories worldwide,” said Holly Flatley, Head of Broadcast, Premier Padel. “Globecast continues to provide the technical expertise and support required to deliver our content smoothly and consistently at a global level.”

The IP-first architecture not only meets the evolving needs of live sports broadcasting but also lays the foundation for future enhancements, including advanced localisation services and dynamic advertising integration.

“Premier Padel is one of the most dynamic sports properties in the world, and we’re proud to be an integral part of its continued growth and global distribution strategy,” said Steve MacMurray, Head of Digital Media Development. “Our ongoing role reflects our commitment to delivering innovative, high-performance solutions that empower sports rights holders to reach audiences wherever they are.”
