Google’s Dave Elliot to Speak at 2017 Creative Storage Conference

Dave Elliot, Global Product Lead for Enterprise Cloud at Google, will be a keynote speaker for the 2017 Creative Storage Conference (SM) (CS 2017).

The Eleventh Annual Creative Storage Conference (SM) (CS 2017) will be held Wednesday May 24, 2017 at the DoubleTree Hotel West Los Angeles in Culver City, CA (www.creativestorage.org). This event brings together digital storage providers, equipment and software manufacturers and professional media and entertainment end users to explore the conference theme of “The Next Act of Storage:  Digital Storage Makes Art Happen.”  At CS 2017 you can find out the latest developments in digital storage for media and entertainment, find out how other media professionals meet their digital storage needs and network with industry professionals.

This one-day conference and exhibits brings together the vendors, end users, researchers and visionaries that will meet growing demand for digital storage for content capture, editing, archiving and content distribution.

Following the theme of artificial intelligence in rich media workflows, Dave’s keynote talk title is:  “Intelligence in Video: Maximize the Value of Your Stored Assets”.  Many media companies have large stores of video files, and those assets are growing.  However because these files are often difficult to access, they are often underutilized.  Metadata tagging and placement on fast media is a common approach, however it comes with high cost and complexity.  Google recently announced a service to enable the generation of insights from video.

In addition to the sessions there will also be four keynote talks during the conference and a sponsored reception in the evening.  The preliminary agenda for the Creative Storage ConferenceSM is at:  www.creativestorage.org/2017Agenda.htm.

You can register for this premier event at www.creativestorage.org/2017Register.htm. The registration deadline is May 22, 2017.
