Groovy Gecko to Stream The Economist Pride and Prejudice

Delivering the business case for LGBT diversity and inclusion

London, 2nd March 2016 – Groovy Gecko will be providing the live stream for the Economist’s Pride and Prejudice event, taking place in three global locations on 3rd March 2016.

The Economist Intelligence Unit will be presenting a new report at the events, which demonstrates why firms should spend more on LGBT inclusion. Through the Pride & Prejudice event and its dedicated website (prideandprejudice.economist.com), the Economist aims to advance the global discussion on LGBT diversity and inclusion, particularly by focusing on the economic and business costs of LGBT discrimination and the profitable opportunities that lie in overcoming it.

Pride and Prejudice is the Economist’s largest ever event, taking place in Hong Kong, London and New York. Groovy Gecko will deliver a live, 24-hour stream onto the publisher’s Facebook page (www.facebook.com/TheEconomist/), website (www.economist.com) and the dedicated Pride and Prejudice website (prideandprejudice.economist.com).

The stream will be delivered using Groovy Gecko’s Live Presentation System (LPS), which incorporates Groovy Gecko’s social streaming platform, enabling delivery of fully produced live interactive video content into social media posts. The LPS also includes full support for mobile devices, as well as the ability to collect world-class statistics and tracking information from webcasts.

Viewers are able to post questions via the Facebook page to be answered by the expert panel, which will include Sir Martin Sorrell, CEO of WPP, Inga Beale, CEO of Lloyd’s, John Brennan, Director of the CIA, and retired NBA player, Jason Collins.
