We are seeking a skilled production
designer who’s ready to step-up their game. The Intermediate Production
Designer role is to partner with and support our creative team of creative
directors, art directors, designers and copywriters in developing and editing
print and digital communications.
Bring your outstanding design sensibilities to the table, including your
ability to create materials from scratch. At times you’ll be following very
specific direction and branding requirements, other times you’ll be starting
with a blank canvas. Form a collaborative partnership with designers, writers
and other team members. Work closely with project managers, creative directors,
art directors, designers and copywriters on assignments, juggling
Using our Optum brand guidelines, understand the nuances – recognizing what can
be pushed and what must remain as hard and fast requirements. This includes
understanding the sometimes subtle differences between the multiple business
units we support, as well as related issues around our proprietary photo
library, typography, color palettes, etc. Having the agility and expertise to
effortlessly navigate between the needs and desires of the business segments
will be an important key to your success.
Partner with the creative team to produce marketing
materials (digital or print: including web banners, landing pages,
PowerPoint slides, environmental signage and print collateral).
Collect and package projects for final print or
web-ready execution and deployment.
Accurately upload project files for approval processes
Full working knowledge of digital and print processes
Partner with Project Managers to estimate print and
digital production costs and timelines.
Operate with minimal guidance and independently with
integrity and confidentiality.
Flexibility is key
Prioritize and manage multiple projects at one time.
Provides recommendations for production improvement
Motivates and inspires other team members
Work as part of a small team on a high volume of
creative projects ranging from concepting to production work
Partner with external agencies on outsourced work
Follow company policies
and procedures, particularly in relation to legalities, patient privacy
Associate’s Degree or higher
5+ years of professional production/design experience
5+ years working experience and design, development and executing production ready files with Adobe creative suite (In-design, PhotoShop, and Illustrator)5+ years working experience for Microsoft office suite (Microsoft PPT, Word, Excel)
Preferred Qualifications: Bachelor’s Degree or higher 5+ years working experience and design, development and executing production ready files with Adobe creative suite (After Effects)
