Leader Electronics will promote its wide range of video and audio measurement and analysis solutions to delegates attending Casablanca Broadcast Days from Tuesday May 9th through Wednesday 10th. Now in its sixth year, the event and its parallel conference will be held at the Hotel Onomo in the city centre. CBD brings together television and radio broadcasters as well as media education and training institutions to experience new developments in content production, post-production and transmission.
Leader will demonstrate at CBD its latest-generation Version 6.5 software for the LV5350 ZEN Series 12G/3G/HD/SD-SDI waveform monitor. Capable of mains or battery operation, the LV5350 is a compact 3U high half-rack-width short-depth unit. It comes with a range of tools plus Leader’s intuitive CINEZONE and CINELITE. All features are accessible from the front control panel, augmented by a 1920 x 1080 resolution 7 inch touchscreen TFT LCD monitor. A focus detection option allows the instrument to sense edges across a very wide range of image contrast levels. Additional options provided in Version 6.5 include 4K/UHD HDR support, SDI-embedded audio analysis, SDI signal generation, CIE chroma chart, customized display layout, tally display, extended chroma vector display and closed-caption display.
“CBD 2023 also offers a useful opportunity for Morocco’s broadcast media stakeholders to learn about the various innovations launched at the mid-April NAB Show in Las Vegas,” says Leader Europe Managing Director Masayoshi Ishihara. “These include a new SER33 decode/encode option for our flagship LV5600 waveform monitor and LV7600 rasterizer. Purchasable as a license option, SER33 allows precise inspection of signals in the JPEG XS compression format. JPEG XS is designed to provide visually lossless image quality with low infrastructure costs in applications such as broadcast-quality remote video production and real-time video storage. The new option can perform JPEG XS stream parsing, decoding and encoding, compressed video signal and packet header analysis, packet error detection and comparative display of JPEG XS, SDP, and ST2110-40. The SER33 toolset also includes the ability to output JPEG XS compressed video test signals.”
“CBD is a tightly focused but pleasantly informal show which attracts many of Morocco’s most highly respected media organizations, including ISNRT, 2M, Midi1TV, the MAP news agency and education channels,” adds Leader Europe Business Development Manager Djamel Djadi. “Our aim at the event is to emphasize the industry-proven robustness, precision and versatility of Leader solutions across every branch of the test and measurement sector. Leader instruments combine precise measurement with very operator-friendly controls. We are trusted by many of the world’s foremost production studios, broadcasters, digital cinematographers, REMI service providers and high-end equipment manufacturers.”
