Working on the multimedia team in collaboration with other University Marketing disciplines and campus units, a videographer on our team creates compelling digital stories and covers events promoting the reputation, advancement and affinity for The Ohio State University and our unit partners. With a passion for filmmaking and producing multimedia narratives, a videographer within University Marketing is a leader in setting the tone visually for our brand across the formats of social media, osu.edu and other digital outlets. Candidate should be a true team player, displaying excellent interpersonal skills. This person should also demonstrate strategic thinking capabilities, a proactive work style and comfort navigating ambiguous environments while also exhibiting the behaviors associated with the Office of Advancement’s core competencies: Leadership, Continuous Improvement, Teamwork and Collaboration, and Communication/Interpersonal Effectiveness.
Bachelor’s degree in video production, digital cinematography or similar field; 8+ years of professional experience with video shooting and editing; proficient in all aspects of video production (scripting, shooting, editing, lighting, sound, post-production, compressing, compression, authoring and archiving); expert knowledge utilizing Adobe Premier, Final Cut Pro, Photoshop and various video software platforms; ability to physically lift and transport video production equipment, up to 20 pounds.
Experience in higher education channels; experience creating long form narrative pieces in addition to shorter marketing promotional pieces; motion graphics design skills.
