Manage the Media Operations department. Works with agency (i.e. SCETV, other state agencies, schools, businesses, etc) divisions, departments to plan, design and coordinate technical support of SCETV television/radio activities.

Supervise, train, schedule, and evaluate the personnel in Media Operations. Schedule staff and equipment based on needs of the client. Supervise / train staff on the operation of extremely complicated multichannel audio/video equipment utilized in extremely complex digital asset systems. Emphasize and follow SCETV standard operating procedures and technical evaluation procedures prior to all productions.

Asset Management to include managing file movement, ingest, metadata organization, troubleshooting software and hardware issues and transcoding files. Stay current with all file based technologies and workflows. Check the technical quality of ingested assets.

Performs or coordinates evaluations of facilities and/or recorded signals to insure that SCETV, FCC, PBS, and SMPTE technical requirements are met.

Collaborates with technical staff members in the designing of Media Operations technical facilities, meaning help identify the interconnection of audiovideo equipment, file based equipment.

Minimum and Additional Requirements:

An associate degree in electronics and related experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

A Bachelor of Arts in Broadcasting and six years television production, Media Operations experience or an equivalent combination of training and experience.
