MediaKind today announces it will return to NAB Show New York (October 17-20, Javits Center) to highlight how its award-winning portfolio powers media companies to stream live without limits. MediaKind’s on-the-ground team will present to show attendees the breadth of its media technology, solutions, and services. From creating new monetization opportunities for content owners to supporting customers as they transition to cloud or hybrid solutions, MediaKind (booth #1620), will show attendees it is enabling new opportunities and helping customers to address real-world challenges.

“In today’s dynamic and vibrant media landscape, broadcasters, operators and service providers require more agile and flexible solutions that provide greater monetization and engagement capabilities,” said Steve Payne, Chief Revenue Officer, MediaKind. “We are excited to present to the NAB Show New York crowd how we harness the power of the cloud to overcome the industry’s number one challenge – delivering premium live streaming experiences at scale to millions of consumers. We look forward to meeting with many customers during the show to underline our offerings, from our rich history in compression technology to forward-looking capabilities such as enabling live without limits streaming and next-generation distribution leveraging cloud and software.”

MK Engage is MediaKind’s comprehensive streaming technology service for video production, streaming and audience engagement. New to the service this year is a synchronized video playback feature, allowing MediaKind’s customers to align the video player frame with the frontend and open new use cases within the live streaming experience. With these enhancements, a sports broadcaster can, for example, show which player has the ball or which golfer is teeing up on the golf course through video overlay. It also allows venues offering live games (such as betting shops, bars, and stadiums) to deliver the experience of the same goal or touchdown at the exact moment in time, regardless of latency in the feed or the device or platform being used.

MediaKind’s capability to enable Software-as-a-Service functionality for its customers will also be a highlight at NAB Show New York. This is enabled within its portfolio through Aquila Streaming, the award winning live streaming solution that enables the launch of OTT media delivery services rapidly, without compromising on the experience for the consumer. The cloud processing and delivery head-end provides flexible scaling and agility while enabling live content to be received, transcoded, packaged, encrypted and delivered seamlessly to the consumer.
