The development of the WMT Expert-265 Backpack solution for live wireless video and data transmission is enhancing the media, production, and news gathering industry marketplace! The WMT Expert-265 is scheduled for it’s grand debut at NAB2014 and the platform will become available shortly after NAB! The physical dimensions of the new WMT Expert-265 will be the same as the current WMT Expert at (3.9 kilograms / 36cm x 20cm x 12cm [W x D x H] )- but with the enhanced technology of the latest version of H.264 codec which can be upgraded to H.265 (which will enable and open the possibility of a steaming 4K signal over 4G)! Scheduled H.265 upgrade will take place at the end of Q2 2014.
The WMT Expert-265 features: 2x Ethernet 10/100/1000 base-t , Interface include: SD; SD-SDI, SD-HDMI, composite + 2x analog audio balanced, as well as, HD: HD-SDI, HD–HDMI (Firewire 1394 – can be provided upon request); 1 x USB for Store and Forward FTP file transfer as well as a nice size touch screen! The recording space can be modified upon request- but ships with 40Gigabyte of space and specs out at SD: High Quality CBR in SD while broadcasting adaptive live stream and HD: High quality CBR in HD while broadcasting adaptive CIF live! Of course the supported video encoder is H.265c with Framerates at: 50,60,59, 94, and video input formats include: SD- full D1, Pal and NTSC mode , HD-720p50, 720p60 and 720p59, 94 and HD-1080i50, 1080i60 and 1080i59, 94. Other features include: Easy 1 button operation, fixed delay time, local and remote (web-based) management, external aerial for radiation and coverage options, and hot swappable batteries!
The WMT Expert-265’s operations settings are as follows: Best quality: adaptive encoding and resolution change between full resolution, half and quarter resolution , with configurable delay of 2, 3, 5, 10 or 20 seconds / Medium quality: adaptive encoding and resolution change between half and quarter resolution, with configurable delay of 2, 3, 5, 10 or 20 seconds /Low quality: adaptive encoding and quarter resolution, with configurable delay of 2, 3, 5, 10 or 20 seconds / Ka profile: adaptive encoding and resolution change between full resolution, half and quarter resolution but with optimized delay settings / BGAN profile: adaptive encoding and resolution change between full resolution, half and quarter resolution but with optimized delay settings / CPT: Store and forward of recorded video with configurable delay between 45 seconds and 10 minutes / Store and forward of any file content via USB or Ethernet / No Audio only. Included with the purchase of a WMT Expert-265 are: 8 ‘shark tale’ 3dBi gain standard Power Class 3, 0.25 Watt per HSPA connection, Industry standard battery plate (Anton Bauer or V-Lock, 90-240V to 19v AC power supply, and Custom made Backpack!
