Demonstrations of CORTEX V5.5 and DRS™NOVA v5.1 now ongoing at the Courtyard by Marriott.
HOLLYWOOD— NAB Show is back live for the first time in two years and MTI Film has also returned to Las Vegas showcasing the latest versions of CORTEX, its groundbreaking workflow utility, and DRS™NOVA, its industry leading digital restoration software. The company is hosting live demonstrations of both products at Courtyard by Marriott, just a 5-minute walk from NAB’s main space at the Las Vegas Convention Center.
CORTEX v5.5 continues to broaden its toolset for managing media files from the set to the screen. Key new features include Blanking Error Detection, a QA tool that automatically identifies image framing errors caused by aspect ratio differences or VFX or editorial errors. Also new, Frame Rate Conversion is an AI-assisted frame interpolation utility. NexGuard Forensic Watermarking provides a simple but effective way to prevent piracy and leaks. CORTEX also includes new tools to support Dolby Atmos.
New features included in DRS™NOVA v5.1 include Camera Motion Analysis, which allows camera motion to be analyzed in three segment types, static, low and high, with tool settings available for each. Shine, CORTEX’S groundbreaking dirt and scratch removal tool, has gained a new Alpha Filter for replacing dirt and scratches found in the IR map. Dynamic Deflicker prevents artifacts on near-field objects moving through frame.
Demonstrations available by appointment. Beverages and light food are being served.
