The Clearinghouse for Military Family Readiness at Penn State is seeking a talented and energetic Multimedia Specialist to assist with a wide variety of digital media related to the implementation, promotion and marketing of a wide variety of research projects. Candidates must be self-motivated, detail oriented, and have a background in producing visually compelling, audience appropriate products in video, web, and print. Primary duties include assisting the team with planning, evaluating, and editing high definition digital content plus developing content for brochures, posters, signage, and educational materials as needed. Candidates should be proficient in Adobe After Effects, Illustrator, and Premiere. Candidates should be highly proficient in lighting, motion design, and digital videography. Experience modeling in Maya or Cinema 4D is highly desired, animation experience is a plus. In addition, the successful candidate will be able to meet tight deadlines, manage multiple tasks, and have a basic understanding of branding, design, and promotional communications. A portfolio or sample of candidate’s work is required as part of the application process. The successful candidate must be able to work in a fun and fast-paced deadline and deliverables based environment. In addition, the ability to take direction, meet tight deadlines, manage multiple tasks, and have a basic understanding of branding, design, and promotional communications is required. The successful candidate must be excited about the opportunity to work with the United States military in developing leading-edge programs. Typically requires an Associate’s degree or higher plus two years of related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. This is a fixed-term appointment funded for one year from date of hire with excellent possibility of re-funding.
