Bittree High Performance Patching Systems has continued to deliver outstanding products for a number of years (39 years to be exact), specializing in the area of high quality audio and video patch bays and patch panels. Now, with the release of the new 12G+ offerings that are aimed toward the 4K and 8K market, Bittree Inc. is primed for showcasing these new innovations and more at the 2017 NAB Show in booth SU6221!
The 12Gb/s link cuts down on coaxial cabling for studio, master control and mobile production. Currently, in order to transport a 4K signal through coaxial has been through quad-link connections. Gone are the days of 4 cables per each 4K feed- with the new single link video application developed and deployed by Bittree cable management is simplified! Compliant with SMPTE 292M, 424M, ST2081-1 and ST2082-1 technical standards, these 12G+ patch panels and patch bays provide low return loss and support data rates of up to 48Gb/s with 75-ohm impedance.
“The higher bite rates and frequencies needed for transporting 4K and greater signals on a single link require customers to very carefully select their cables, connectors and connectivity equipment,” said Bryan Carpenter, senior sales consultant at Bittree. “Our 12+ products are precision engineered to exceed SMPTE specifications, with their performance – ringing out ar 20GHz on our BNC patch panels and 24GHz on our mini-WECO patch bays- thus providing a tremendous amount of clean headroom not only for 4K, but also 8K, HDR and higher-bit rate applications moving forward. We are setting our clients up for the future.”
The 12G+ mini-WECO patchbays are offered in 1×32, 2×32 and 3×32 configurations with flexible rack-mount form factors. While the 12G+ BNC patch panels are available in a 1RU form factor with 1×16, 1×24 or high density 1×32 jack configurations, or in 2×16 and 2×24 in 2RU of rack space. Which deliver the needed resources to world leading broadcasters, post production facilities, entertainment venues, and even A/V integrators that rely on true tested and designed technologies that benefit end results!
