New products at NAB 2017 for Transvideo and Aaton Digital
Paris, France, Thursday 30th March, 2017:
Sister companies Transvideo and Aaton Digital will both show new products for the cinematography and broadcast industries at NAB 2017

Transvideo will show the new StarliteRF-a, a wireless monitor with advanced camera control capabilities which can remotely control key functions of the ARRI Alexa-Mini and AMIRA cameras. The kit consists of a StarliteRF-a monitor-recorder and a TitanHD2 Tx-a that connects to the EXT socket of the ARRI cameras via a specific cable provided. This gives you a hand held lightweight, high quality monitor receiving the camera picture wirelessly, and you can adjust key camera functions wirelessly by return to the camera. The camera functions are accessed via the monitor’s touch screen. You also have the ability to record and play back clips via the inbuilt recorder, which can be set up to record automatically when the camera records.
Also on show the new Stargate monitor-recorder, a new generation of 7” high-end monitor-recorder with a 3G HD/SDI full HD display, compatible with 4K SDI signal, and with HDR features. It has fast path processing with immediate display capability, increasingly important in many shooting situations and essential for focus pulling.
With its intuitive interface it is invaluable for all types of production – cinematography, broadcast, both indoor and outdoor environments. It has professional built in tools including: Job-Oriented Views, Focus Helper, Peaking, Markers, 3D LUTS, Zoom and Tally.
The inbuilt recorder allows recording and playback of dailies via an onboard SD card, with recording via manual start or auto triggered from compatible cameras. Metadata pdf reports are also generated for each clip.
As well as these new products you can also see the StarliteHD, The StarliteHD5-ARRI, and the TitanHD2.
Aaton Digital will show the amazing new CantarMini, a 16 track digital portable mixer-sound recorder. It’s based on the renowned CantarX3, multiple award winner and now widely recognised by many of the global sound community as the ultimate digital 24 track location sound recorder.

The Mini retains the full sound quality, uses the same preamps, limiters, faders, components as the CantarX3, with 16 tracks instead of 24, with less inputs, making it considerably smaller in size and weight – just 2.8Kg with 2 batteries on board – almost half the weight of the X3. The software comes across also from the X3.
The Mini also has a large tilting display, uses the same batteries, and is compatible with the add-on mixer/fader panel Cantarem2.
You can also see the CantarX3, the location sound recorder that’s taken the high end sound recording community by storm, a 24 track digital sound recorder with stunning sound quality and a long list of features.
U.S. production sound mixer Chris Giles, CAS, used his CantarX3 to record sound for the academy award winning motion picture ‘Moonlight’.
On show also accessories including Cantarem2, an add-on fader panel to add more faders for high track count recording on both the X3 and the Mini.
Jacques Delacoux, CEO of Transvideo and Aaton Digital said: “This year we have NAB truly covered. We will have products from across the range, both new and recently introduced, on our own booths and many of our friends in the areas of cinematography and broadcast.”
Jacques, Danny Hallett and others from the Transvideo and Aaton teams will be present at NAB on the Aaton Digital booth C2661 and also partners booths including cmotion, the new Value Added Reseller for Transvideo in the U.S.
