A major update to Dalet Flex enhances its functionality with a new semantic search feature, advanced Adobe Premiere integrations, and embedded AI services. These improvements aim to streamline media workflows for broadcasters, sports teams, and brand-led organizations.
New Semantic Search Streamlines Content Discovery
The latest version of Dalet Flex includes a semantic search experience that allows users to find assets based on meaning and context, making large media libraries more accessible. This feature supports multilingual searches and can be combined with metadata filters for precise content retrieval.
Erwan Kerfourn, Head of Product for Dalet Flex, explained, “With semantic search, users no longer need to know the data model or metadata schema; they just describe what they’re looking for. This democratizes access to the archive, letting anyone find relevant content without training.”
Enhanced Adobe Premiere Workflows
The update also includes significant improvements to Dalet Xtend for Adobe Premiere users, enhancing speed and reliability in distributed environments. New features such as offline mode, streaming access, smarter remote rendering, and improved project handling make editing more efficient.
- Offline mode: Continues editing without interruption during network disruptions, with automatic synchronization upon reconnection.
- Streaming mode: Accesses content directly in Adobe Premiere without downloading full files or proxies.
- Smarter remote rendering workflows: Intelligent job routing across Adobe Media Encoder resources.
- Expanded support for modern editorial workflows: Improvements to project handling, rendering, and version control.
User Experience Enhancements
Dalet Flex LTS introduces UI refinements and new viewing options like Dynamic Tile View, which allows users to adapt layouts for tasks such as shot selection or high-volume browsing without repeatedly opening previews. These changes support a wider range of team needs while maintaining performance for enterprise environments.
Platform Enhancements
The update strengthens core platform capabilities with improved handling of large-scale IMF workflows and the introduction of Dalet Ingest Portal, an intuitive web-based scheduling tool for secure content contribution by distributed teams and partners.
Embedded AI Services
A new feature in Dalet Flex LTS is Dalet AI Services, which includes built-in multilingual transcription and plans for additional services like OCR, face detection, and translations. These capabilities prepare organizations for advanced AI solutions such as Dalia, Dalet’s agentic workflow solution, set to be widely available starting in Q2 2026.
