Quality, a leading Spanish broadcast production company, has optimized its remote production workflow for the live coverage of El Salvador’s newly established Liga Nacional de Fútbol de El Salvador. By integrating Dejero EnGo mobile transmitters, WayPoint receivers, and CuePoint return video servers, Quality significantly reduces setup time and costs while maintaining high-quality broadcasts.
Efficient Remote Production Workflow
Pablo Reyes, chief production officer and partner at Quality, explains that the new remote production model allows most of the production team to remain based in Buenos Aires. This shift saves between 65% and 70% on setup time and expenses compared to traditional methods, which require a physical presence at each stadium.
Reliable Connectivity Solutions
The Dejero EnGo devices provide sub-second glass-to-glass latency and utilize Smart Blending Technology to aggregate multiple IP connections. This technology combines wired (broadband, fiber) and wireless networks (3G/4G/5G, Wi-Fi, satellite), ensuring reliable connectivity even in challenging conditions like heavy rainfall.
Quality employs ten EnGo transmitters for each stadium, supporting seven cameras with additional units for interviews and aerial shots. The WayPoint receivers at the Buenos Aires hub decode video feeds from the transmitters, which are then integrated into the production matrix shared with switchers and replay systems.
Seamless Communication and Synchronization
The CuePoint return server facilitates low-latency live program video transmission to camera operators at the stadiums, aiding synchronization with central production. Audio communication between the hub and stadium is managed via EnGo’s IFB feature, ensuring clear coordination during broadcasts.
Quality has successfully used Dejero solutions for remote productions for over 50 broadcasters and sports federations worldwide, including FIFA, FIBA, FINA, IWF, Rugby Europe, Grises Humacao, Peter Auto, and various Spanish Federations.
