OWC Announces New ThunderBay 4 with Thunderbolt™ 3

OWC adds to its line-up of powerful Thunderbolt 3-integrated products

OWC®, a leading zero emissions Mac and PC technology company, is introducing their fastest ThunderBay yet. Thunderbolt 3 speeds up this highly-acclaimed product line, with speeds up to twice as fast as the original. This new version will continue to provide the performance the pros rely on to create workflows without limitations and meet the demands of the most complex projects.

The OWC ThunderBay 4 has become a time-honored favorite, with its four drive bays and robust SoftRAID flexibility. In this new version, all internals have been upgraded with performance, reliability and flexibility in mind. The result is a ThunderBay that is 80% faster and supports 2.5” and 3.5” drives. And with capacities from 4TB to 48TB, including SSD and HDD options, ThunderBay delivers the ultimate in storage capacity and functionality.

Built on OWC’s time-tested enclosure cooling technology, ThunderBay utilizes an open “flow-thru” vented design with a noise-quieting fan to keep the drives running cool and reliably. With dual Thunderbolt 3 ports users can connect their display of choice, including 4K displays. Daisy-chain up to six ThunderBays on a single Thunderbolt port for expansive storage, RAID, and performance options.

  • Dual Thunderbolt 3 ports
