PHABRIX to showcase new QxP hybrid IP/SDI portable waveform monitors at BroadcastAsia 2023

Test & measurement innovator, PHABRIX, has announced that it will showcase its new QxP portable waveform monitor, QxL 25G IP ST 2110 rasterizer as well as its renowned Sx TAG IP and SxE handheld instruments at BroadcastAsia, which will take place from 7-9 June at Singapore Expo. Part of Asia Tech x Singapore, BroadcastAsia is the region’s flagship tech festival. PHABRIX will be exhibiting on the stand of parent company Leader Electronics Corporation (#6C3-07).

Underlining its commitment to support all workflows in a rapidly evolving media landscape – and one in which legacy formats are still being used extensive alongside new & emerging ones – PHABRIX will show products for all formats and production approaches, including HD, UHD, SDR, HDR, SDI, IP, conventional and remote/decentralized production. But above all, the emphasis will be on the company’s latest groundbreaking solution, the QxP next-generation waveform monitor.

Utilizing the flexible architecture of the acclaimed QxL rasterizer, the QxP offers an integral 3U multi-touch LCD screen with integral V-Mount or Gold-mount battery plates for portability. Designed for all production workflows, the QxP’s combined waveform monitor, generator and analyzer toolsets are designed to meet the ever-changing demands of today’s hybrid environments.

The QxP offers the latest in PHABRIX’s patented waveform technology, featuring a high-resolution image processing pipeline with support for deep color sources up to 12-bits, delivering all the fine detail needed for camera shading or image grading. Users can access a choice of overlay, stacked and parade display modes, with the option of multi-colored, highlighted, green or monochrome traces. Nits scales and operation user-controlled nits markers are provided for SDR, HLG, PQ, S-Log3 and SR-live HDR formats. Rec 709 and Rec 2020 colorimetry is supported over the wide-range of YCbCr:422, RGB:444, SDI, 2110, HD/2K/UHD/4K/EUHD formats for which PHABRIX is renowned.

Martin Mulligan, Sales and Operations Director for PHABRIX, comments: “Our profile in Asia-Pacific has grown significantly in recent years, thanks both to our relationship with Leader and the accelerating desire of broadcasters to implement new production workflows. Our QxP rasterizer is symbolic of our ongoing commitment to supporting all existing and emerging production approaches and formats, and after a positive reaction to the product at NAB 2023 can’t wait to show it to visitors at BroadcastAsia.”
