Back by popular demand – the 4K 4Charity Fun Run Series has raised more than a quarter of a million dollars for global and local charities
Portland, Ore. – June 17, 2016 – Elemental Technologies, the leader in software-defined video solutions, today announced open registration for the 4K 4Charity Fun Run, which takes place 7:30 am on Saturday, September 10 at Amstelpark, Amsterdam in conjunction with IBC 2016. Sponsorship opportunities are now available and participant registration is open at www.4K4Charity.com.
Registrations have doubled for each event in this series, and total gross donations now top $250,000 (USD). Highlights from the 4K 4Charity Fun Run at IBC 2015 can be enjoyed in this video. The run celebrates advancements in video technology made by global media and entertainment industry leaders as well as the technology vendors who support them. It is open to all registered IBC attendees. The 4km (2.49-mile) running and walking event begins at 7:30 am and loops through Amstelpark, at the southeast corner of the RAI Exhibition and Convention Centre complex. After completing the run, participants can celebrate the event over light snacks and beverages.

All proceeds from 4K 4Charity Fun Run registrations will be donated to two worthy charities: Heifer International, a global charitable organization that helps bring sustainable agriculture and commerce to areas with a long history of poverty, and Jeugdsportfonds, a local Amsterdam charity that offers sports opportunities to children 4 to 18 years of age whose families do not have the financial resources to pay for an athletics club membership.
